Bit early surely? March seems to be all systems go and kits are around 2 months old before venturing out so end of May would be most likely - I'm still shooting half grown one's from last year.

Agreed, but information is power and here they were playing kiss chase in early December.

So?

Gestation is 44 days - so if Nutty gets lucky tonight it's going to be early march before he leaves his kids and sets up home with some local tart cos his wife "doesn't understand him" - add another 10 weeks  (more like 12 usually before the kids leave) and you are looking for little Nappies full of Nutella around end of April at the very earliest - this all depends on food and Weather conditions of course. Be very surprised to see kits in April but you never know.

Seems to be loads about this last year. We have had some great bags out of the woods in recent months and still not slowing up. Pheasant feeders are being hammered but the peanuts are the biggest thing to pull then in.

We have  a old caravan in our woods with feeders all the way round. Makes a comfortable hide.

Kiss chase in November around here, and I saw something yesterday saying bears were coming out of hibernation a month earlier than normal due to the mild winter.

Same here kiss case very early.

Not too many bears here to worry about, thankfully.

Wish we could get some reds but will never be, the stupid old **** here, seemingly love the greys and feed them at every opportunity. Too much country file and spring watch?

I've said it before, a lot of people are just happy seeing the animals that are in front of them, it must be a lot harder convincing people greys need control when there haven't been reds for twenty plus years.
