Rapids are very heavy .

Bsa r10s are lighter but have pap regs (can be changed )

Scorpions are lighter and regless which makes them more reliable .

.Aa.s410 xtra are verrrry long .An fx wildcat is a good option but not so cheap  .

I know if i had £500 for a .22 fac id go with the scorpion.

If i had £1k probably an fx wc.

If i had £1.5 k an  fx impact .

I guess it comes down to price .and how many shots you actually need .

Why carry around a massive lump of steel that does 300 shots .when your most likely to only shoot 20 if your lucky  my personal minimum shot count for any pcp is 30 .and i dont run out (when hunting very often --- see never )

As per my thinking

Also if needed pump or small bottle in van.

Thank you all .

I recently went through this exercise and also don't need a big (heavy) bottle for lot of shots when I'm out hunting / vermin clearing.

After a lot of interweb investigation I went over to the dark side of electronic and, for not a lot more than your budget, bought a fabulous Daystate Mk4 IS Sporter .22 FAC which takes accuracy to previously unattained levels.

I also have a non FAC BSA R10 .177 (John Bowkett tuned then needing Ratworks corrections - but that's another story)  which is good - but the Daystate is at a much better level.
