Nail Clippers

Recommended Posts

Im looking for recomendations for a good quality set of Clippers for my Lurcher Max.Ive been advised to stay away from the guillotine type.A few have recommended Safari but I'd like to asked the PW massive.

 So what are you using and where do I purchase?

I use my gardening secateurs sharpened and polished beforehand. They are bypass rather than anvil ones.

You really need clippers which cut in a circle. This prevents squashing the dog’s nails and thus splitting the unclipped part. Can’t remember where mine came from.

I use some like these. They come in different sizes depending on dog size. The curved cutting edge on both blades stop the nail getting squashed and cracking if they are sharp. I like the Mikki range of clippers. They are reasonably priced for the quality. EBay and Amazon or your local large pet store might stock them.
