Can anyone tell me if the 019 will charge the battery if it connected to my computer via the hdmi cable?

hello, yes you can but i find it better to charge the battery in a proper 18650 charger, these are only flat tops, i use these SAMSUNG 30 Qs, are you having to use a magnification lens in front eye glass ? be careful with the rubber eye piece as can split if pulled back to far, i put some black sparky tape round where it slots in, i use a 2 X mag lens but going to change to 4 X . i bought the Samsungs from local vape shop 2 x £10

Does it charge through hdmi?  Never known anyone try.

It will charge through USB, but highly not recommended, and could avoid warranty.

As OPP says , take the battery out to charge.

Thanks for that guys. I got the 019 from CRS. I think the lense is aready fitted. No problems looking through it.  Ive ordered a charger. I was suprised to see in book, charger cable supplied but it is an hdmi cable. There is nothing about charging in the book.

It depends how bad your eyes are, most people who struggle without reading glasses need a +2 or +4.

Never known anyone need anything stronger.
