automatic feeders

hi...was looking at getting an automatic feeder for a small duck pond...looked on fleabag and there's an automatic feeder on timer unit for £12.99 from  a company called wild beak...has anyone had any experience of these ...it seems too good to be true at that price and if something seems too good to be true...it usually is...any comments or alternatives/experiences welcome...thanks...atb...misser

I don't think that is the price of the feeder, just the battery. Usually they are about £70 or so.

Hi

Most of the feeders on sale spin the grain in a circle around the bottom of the feeder, this is ok if you can put it in the water in some way. We have 8 feeders that we origanally got from USA and are called Kenco straight feeders. These spin in the vertical plane so through a nice straight line of grain up the edge on the ponds and go off twice a day. These are some photos of how we use them, so if you are buying new feeders it may pay you to ask the companys who sell them if they have anything like these. We had no problem ordering them from USA but that was some ten years ago

I never found these when looking last year, ended up. With two spins that I used to feed ducks and pheasant, put next to ponds on edge of the woods
