Just watched a video on YouTube from evening standard.

Flights cancelled and the army called in, shows some footage sent in from.public around the country.

Not looking good.

Hope everyone is ok and stays safe 👍

I had to go pick two of the garden chairs up in my bloody dressing gown.

Wind has picked up more this evening than rest of the day, less rain than expected here too.

From what I have seen on the weather, the worst of the rain is coming over night and tomorrow morning. Windy, but not as bad as last weekend, so far.

Just drove back from NEC bit wet and blowy but at least M40 and A34 were clear from traffic

Last Saturday night I left Harrogate in North Yorkshire at 10pm, arriving back in Essex at 3am. That was very windy and wet.

Try a blowtorch instead, much easier than waiting for a storm!:D

Shocking sense of humour, we’ll strike that one from the record

Bit windy up north but that might be the curry rather than Denis heading out to shoot coniston in the morning but water proofs and wellies are in front of central heating.  Atb Agriv8.

Staying  in Kendal for the weekend, the river Kent is close to bursting its banks,  its put down some serious rain today, but had probably 3 hours without rain, hoping it stays that way.

Wet in Shropshire tonight. Sat up watching ewes that are fit to burst. I've got 20ewes and lambs ready to go out but they'll have to stay in until Monday lunch if it doesn't stop raining. Running out of space and hurdles to build pens! There's 7 left of this bunch to go and then another 10 black ones that are feral and will probably manage all by themselves but they're so wild I'd never get the lambs ringed and tagged if I left them too it outside. It got a bit blowy about 830 but not bad. Just wet!

Just got in from doing a bit of work over in Clun, the rain in the last hour has been biblical. the rivers are not as high as they were back at the end of October but it is still tipping it down.

I thought kimonos and baseball bats were all the rage this season?

The swamps of Essex are holding up well, so far...

I think our rain is due to come later this morning.
