enfieldspares Posted February 15, 2020 Report Share Posted February 15, 2020 Cork wads are not ideal is from a single piece of cork for the same reason they aren't ideal for a bottle of wine. If made from granulated cork that should remove some of the possible failings. But all "natural" wads be they fibre or brown wool wadding cork are compared with old white wool felt wads are to varying degree a less than ideal substitute.
