For 0 rings check the ‘bay for 25 mm diameter 2 mm cross section nitrile and will cycle down to 24g. Better gas retention than stock items , I’m actually running 2.4 mm in my 1187 and it will cycle 21g (OE part 1.6 mm)

Bought some today thanks! The gun is looking good, all crud and sticky things removed - You cannot beat a 9" grinder!

Should have left the barrel but off and chambered a round- that would have shifted it 🙂

(in case you hadn’t noticed and are stupid enough to try it- Twas a joke)

Oh - just loaded the gun!

For some reason I can still remember Y=MX+C, that helped me many times when changing an engine in some far away sandy place😂

Had a practical application of that today (4-20mA sensor playing silly b...billies), military uses loads of them too, but mostly on things that float/sink rather than things that roll on/fly over sand.

annnnyway, WD-40 is a truly rubbish penetrant. Treat yourself to a can of Plusgas. It’s my favourite libation but for blued parts maybe allow diesel to soak through overnight (gravity is your friend, stuck bit at the bottom). Brake clean is option B, saw one of the guys dump half a can into a gunky filter housing earlier, came out spotless apart from the mild steel swarf that caused corrosion in the stainless housing....never mind 😛

Sage advice, I mixed WD40 with pure alcohol which worked a treat! The gunge came running out very quickly but I did "heat" the offending parts with boiling water which certainly helped penetration. I will certainly invest in a can pf Plusgas - thanks you!
