Young birds

On my trip out last week the bag consisted of three young birds among the 21 shot. That means that a pair or pairs must have bred in January sometime. Not unusual I know, especially as it's been particularly mild, temperature wise, but just got me thinking.

Now we know that pigeons have been known to breed in every month of the year and the usual time to see the maximum number of youngsters is around harvest time.

So has anyone shot young birds in every month of the year ?

Without going back through 19 years of my current game diary, I cannot recall shooting many, or any youngsters in November or December.
