I need help deciding on a new motor. We have the baby on the way so I need to change by the end of June.

Must be;

No more than 4 years old.

Good on fuel (120 miles a day commute)

Automatic

Decent inside seen as I spend a couple of hours a day sat there.

Decent power 190bhp+. I’m going from 400~ish 😢.

4wd would be a plus but not essential.

Big enough for dog, baby and stuff for a week away.

Budget 15-20k.

Anybody have experience of the 335d touring xdrive?

My father in law had 2, brilliant car in every respect, and he loved it, for the engine decent consumption and plenty of power, he has changed this for a 540 x drive which he really likes

My father has the X3 30d and it has been a great car and he is getting almost 50mpg ave

volvo xc90 ive never thought of owning a volvo until I bought my xc90 2 years back it is brilliant .

mine is only a 2004 model as I did not have no where near your budget and unfortunately never will but its like driving in your favourite armchair  loads of room and has a 3rd row of seats if needed used mine regularly for shooting …  i.e driving the fields and farm tracks and its fine.

I had mine remapped for economy [cost me £120] and on q run to kent from Newcastle on tyne set the cruise control at 75mph and it averaged 45mpg

they come with good spec and servicing parts are pretty cheap they are auto with tiptronic if you need it

As said get an Audi avant, much better than the beemer and alot cheaper for parts etc, mine is on 124000 and still as sweet as a nut, I went from south west scotland to newcastle and back on friday on half a tank, 50mpg

Interested to know why Audi is much better than a BMW?
