norfolk dumpling
I never felt like this when I worked in financial services but now, retired, my p/t job working for a car/van rental business has made me vital to the wellbeing of our great nation. Living in Norfolk our infection rate is low and our vehicles are all new, prepared with large quantities of disinfectant and sanitiser so risk low but it is very satisfying to hand over keys to others who must work. Business is very slow but it is the casual rentals or business customers who might hire for training courses away from here who have dropped away. Did a couple for merchant seamen who had to pick up a ship 'up north' one way so won't see those cars again! i was expecting to put my feet up and get my 80% but I suppose I'm helping the 'war effort'. Wondering about volunteering for NHS delivery support but we have vulnerable family so a little hesitant on this.

Hats off to you, there are many members of society right now who usually don't get so much as a thank you for their jobs, many of which are low paid and hard going. They're now being relied on to keep the country going and are in high risk positions. I really hope after this is over, we see a change in the way employees are treated, unfortunately I doubt it will happen with the likes of Richard Branson and Mike Astley ect, but I'll keep hoping. Thanks for your efforts
