loriusgarrulus
https://www.vettimes.co.uk/news/vets-and-nurses-needed-for-nhs-hospital-wards/ Serious times, but things must be getting a bit woof. (Sorry I couldn't resist it)

bluesj
I know a lot of vets and vet nurses and everyone of them good people, but not sure the bed side manor would be what is expected from NHS staff!
Diver One
Laid n your bed we don't want the vet coming around saying "I think it's time" or "we need to make a decision"

loriusgarrulus
Seriously though vets train for 2 years longer than a Doctor. They are used to dealing with patients that can't tell them stuff so they are trained to observe signs and symptoms. Vets are generally better at taking blood samples than most doctors and from smaller veins too. Vet Nurses are well trained too. All the basic procedures are the same although might not want neutering just yet. 😂😂
Medic1281
Our vet was known to wear a T-shirt that said “Real Doctors treat more than one species!”
Old farrier
Vet’s are legally allowed to operate on humans doctors can’t operate on animals think I’d rather have a vet if I’m rough than a farrier 😂

jonny long shanks
My wife is a veterinary nurse and she has been warned that she may be asked to go in to hospitals and help. The government have also requested an inventory of all equipment that could be used, ventilators etc
