Beretta Silver Pigeon 3 - Limited Edition

Evening fellow PW’ers,

Hopefully you’re all in good spirits during this lockdown!

I recently bought a 687 SP3 Limited Edition on a whim, because I just liked the extra detailed engraving and the wood. I’m now trying to find out a whatever I can about the gun, and there’s no information out there other than a couple of old reviews from Shooting UK.

I *think* that the only differences from the normal SP3 is the Diamond grade wood (EELL) and hand engraving? I’m happy to be proven wrong though.

Please feel free to chip in with any thoughts or opinions.

Lovely gun. Can I suggest you email GMK UK I did about my gun and they gave me all the info I would ever need..

Good idea, I probably should have thought of this ha.

Presumably it’s just a serial number that they need?

Thanks,

Done! They got back to me very quickly. With the date of manufacture and when it was marketed by Sportsman Gun Centre. Cheers!

What a cracker!

How old is it?

The gun is a March 2009, not too old 🙂.

Usually with special editions they out nice wood on and oil finish.

The engraving is still done with laser or machine, then picked out and highlighted by hand. You should see the hand engraved bits under a magnifying lens.

Nice looking gun.
