Old Boggy
Sitting in the garden this morning having breakfast, we were treated to the sight of an osprey flying over. Perhaps common in other parts, but not seen one around here for a few years. OB

I was sat next to the pool at the Ramada in Belize City last century and was photographing Ospreys amongst the other "birds"
NoBodyImportant
At first I was thinking that I see a few a week flying over head but then I realized you was talking about the bird. 39TDS
They migrate at this time of year from Africa to Scotland. The extra daylight in summer gives them more opportunity to hunt so it is better for them when raising chicks. A few years ago they were putting satellite trackers on them and you could track their whole journey.

TRINITY
When I was in my early teens I used to freely roam a very large area of country side. The same area is still there today 50 years later and is exactly the same . The trees are now more mature and a couple of railway lines closed and now overgrown. Fields sizes and crops are identical. Back then I could walk for 5 minutes and see most common bird species. I could spend a solid week in the area right now and be lucky to see one. Yellow hammer Linnet Skylark English partridge Bullfinch These are the really obvious ones but many more have drastically declined Edited April 12, 2020 by TRINITY
Cranfield
You can often see them around the Canterbury fishing lakes and along the Hythe Military Canal this time of year, as has been said these are migrating birds moving through the area.
