wymberley
Given the slightest opportunity these things will do their very best to ruin your day. As already said, clay supply to the right but also behind the trap and in easy reach. The clay's trajectory is dependent upon its position on the arm. To adjust if necessary, secure the end of the arm with your right hand and 'brush' it into position using the palm of your left from above - if it does let go it'll just knock your hand up out of its way with just a sting but no visit to A&E necessary. (If you're old enough, this is the starting handle/thumb principle) Never move a cocked trap. If you drop anything while the trap is cocked, leave it until until the trap has been fired. Release the clay with your right hand as it then can't get in the way.
Dougy
Be very careful which side you put the clay's, i knew of a guy getting hit in the head with this type of trap, i hate them.
