Particularly someone elderly? Or underlying conditions That would be more accurate, but it's not what he said. It was a sensationalist "it WILL kill you" statement of fact that has no factual basis. I'm afraid you are terribly wrong. The statement I made was perfectly correct and not in any way fear mongering. It will kill you and even Boris admitted it was touch and go at one point and he is a relatively fit guy. The factual basis is there for all to see every day, I believe over 800 in the last 24hrs. So your argument that "it WILL kill you" (your emphasis, not mine) is backed up by someone who had it but it didn't kill?
Dougy
Excuse me gentlemen;if you dont mind,  i thought this topic was about helping people, and silly hair splitting about a comment that has been true and false on umpteen accounts try and sway away from the every day doom and gloom of this terrible thing that is on every ones mind. Depression is on the increase due to the huge change in our lives and the worry of whats going on, and add to that we have 24-7 news coverage. someone has started a topic thats pretty light hearted yet it gets back on the doom and gloom road. Can they clear off !!! there are some folk that are trying to escape from it for a short time.
treetree
I appreciate what you are saying about keeping topics on topic, but it is over the top sensationalism that is stoking the fear. Anyway back to topic; I tried helping an old lady across the road, but she kept on running away as I went up to her.
Wb123
My neighbour restored part of an old desk for me. All I ever do for him is drop eggs round and let him walk our land which he insists is more than enough but feels like a dishonestly good deal.

If you do something which is easily accomplished with your skill set and are rewarded with something that you cannot easily do, it always feels unequal. Similarly if you do something hard and are rewarded with something that you reckon is easy, you may well feel aggrieved
