Hi,

I'm looking to down size my Colchester student for a smaller lathe.

Fitted with single phase motor but has 3 phase motor that came with the lathe.

could be interested in package lathe and mig for my Colchester depending on what tooling set up  comes with .the ML7.

pm me if interested

cheers

Nice, how long ago did you paint it and what year is it ?

I've currently got two ml7, one I'm using with gearbox ,clutch and dro.

The other I have stripped and am repainting it.

What type and size are you looking at?  Colchester student isn't much bigger but a lot heavier.

Not been painted by me chum, its sprayed with GT40 after every clean down.

I think its 1956 but would have to check serial again

Same vintage as mine is lovely machines. Yours looks in top condition, nice parts you've made too. Like the upgraded dials on cross slide and compound.

I'd love a Colchester but the weight and bulk is more than the space I want to give up for a lathe.

What lathe you fancying next?  Modern Chinese or old English iron.

Good luck with your sale.
