I took several outside my local gunshop and was able to try them back to back.

The best were the Hawke 1000 and Nikko Sterling 603.

Found the most practicle for the field the simpler Nikko.

Cost me about £150  but they've gone up since.

Has been fautless and I highly recommend it.

The Hawke was the latest model when I tried it about 2 years ago.

From memory, I was activating features that I didn't want nor need due to my banana fingers, which is the last thing you need when speed it the order of the day.

The Nikko is just point and press and that's it.

The Hawke wasn't bad, just not for me.

Found the Nikko optics had a slight edge also.

Prior to the above I had an M.T.C  but found the pressure required to operate the button was so much that I couldn't use it one handed.

Hope that helps.
