your not go wrong with john wilson avon quiver or john wilson barbel rod

If you can find one, they haven't been made in years. I had one and snapped part of it and a replacement was as expensive as a new rod but I couldn't get a new one so had to buy another brand

I've got one that I've has since I was a kid, dragged it out of the shed to use on the irrigation resevoir at work and it's brilliant!. Had a cracking 12lb mirror on it today in a spare hour, put a good bend in it but enough power to turn in it.

I was told you hadn't been in production in years all would be old stock that's why I couldn't get a part unless they sold me the top section from a rod

Do you still have the broken rod?

Years ago I used to repair rods as a hobby/passtime. If you have it, please put a photo up and I'll try and see if it can be repaired by me.

If it can, I'll do it for free, but my hands aren't as good as they used to be so it would take a couple of weeks possibly more. It will be never be as good or as strong though. Just too good a rod to scrap.

No I gave the rod away on another forum. Pity as you could have had it play with
