WalkedUp
Looks bad for them. We don’t know what gun they were using or what their backstop was but IMO it could be lamping with 22lr subsonics, which are a terrible round. They will try to find some stone to hit in the soil and bounce. I use .17hmr for most lamping on flat fields, you need good valleys and a lot of care to choose a decent backstop for .22lr subs. They are certainly not a novice round.

REDINGTON
vague reporting as always, creating multiple imagined scenarios, none of which end well for all shooters. Edited May 11, 2020 by REDINGTON
Gordon R
He was hit in the chest, which seems odd, unless the terrain was a bit hilly. I suspect a couple of licences will be gone.
Benthejockey
Could have been an air rifle and he could have gone to hospital for shock.
Gordon R
Whatever it was, it will end poorly for the two concerned.
Cheshirelad
I hope the victim recovers without any major ill-effects. It sounds like the two "hunters" will not be hunting again anytime soon .................... hopefully!

If he puts his hand up it might not affect his mate who might have been looking elsewhere with say a spotter.
