A court imposed alcohol detecting tag for violent drunks being brought out.

It should be imposed on drunk drivers too.

hello, i agree and would also say drivers caught tested positive for drugs, i only know to well the violence from the alcohol scenario

They don't work, all the person being tagged has to do is get a plastic soft drinks bottle, cut a strip out of the plastic and wrap it around the inside of the tag so that it breaks the contact between the tag and the skin.

They have been around for years but have been spectacularly unsuccessful.

Was thinking this earlier. I was thinking clingfilm, bit comfier, plus if it had a sensor for heart beat ect it would still get through

It'll have the same effect as banning people from driving - absolutely zero. I've lost count of the number of programmes on TV about drink/drug driving etc where the person has been banned xxx number of times but still gets behind the wheel of a car. It will only work when the person wants it to work.
