WalkedUp
On the beach today over 60% of the beach goers were not British, seemingly Eastern European from accent. They were all perfectly pleasant and I have absolutely no objection at all to them being there (even the large groups of young men playing football), it was just striking as we don’t normally see many at all, and today Formby beach was thronging. My wife and I initially had a game of guessing UK/non UK but it quickly became pointlessly easy based upon: fashion style / social distancing / equipment. Anyway, it made me curious - was it some sort of Eastern European holiday today? Whit Monday isn’t until next week so today was a secular national holiday. Vince Green
We were in a park in Carshaulton Surrey today and a lot there were Eastern Europeans. I think its because they live in overcrowded housing so use the parks and beaches as their outdoor space.
