Kids wanted them in the 1980s when the Ninja Turtles were all the craze, when they got bigger parents who wouldn't kill them put them in the nearest water course. KFC Posted May 28, 2020 Report Share Posted May 28, 2020 I think one of the main reasons that people dump them is because they don't realise how big nor how vicious they can get, especially the females. Dougy Posted May 28, 2020 Report Share Posted May 28, 2020 Ive seen quite a few in our local fishing lake, they seem to be pretty shy of people but you can get a glimpse of them when its getting dark.
