ClemFandango
I know of two seperate people who have felled trees onto vehicles. One was their own, the other was an innocent member of the public. I've never quite worked out how... What a bloody stupid thing to do!!

Scully
A mate in our syndicate felled a rotten tree by simply pulling it over with the winch on his tractor but didn’t sever the rootball before limbing it, at which point it sat upright and resettled back into it’s hole. He then realised his dog was missing, and after calling and whistling didn’t bring its return he became anxious as possibilities started to dawn on him. He quickly secured the winch back to the tree, but it was too late unfortunately. This was about five years ago, and he has another dog now. He says it is something he’ll never be able to forgive himself for. Hindsight isn’t always a marvellous thing.

Medic1281
My old man dropped an oak tree across his leg. It fell back on him as we misjudged the balance.

As any dog owner knows, it’s bad enough losing one after a long and happy life, but to lose one in such circumstances must be awful. He was distraught and inconsolable for some time understandably.
