ditchman Posted May 31, 2020 Report Share Posted May 31, 2020 (edited) its been in the bottom of a washing tank ..........i rekon if you blast it with a very fine medium and blue it .....providing the barrel is alright..........that would come up mint... take it apart and take it to a place where they rebuild carberettas...as they blast and clean with a super fine medium.... enfieldspares Posted May 31, 2020 Report Share Posted May 31, 2020 (edited) The grips won't be a problem you just need a 1/4" thick piece of the wood of your choice and either use a bandsaw, a jigsaw or cut by hand. Then a surform to get a rough shape. The escutheons around the screws aren't now a problem either. OK they'll me modern metric screws and brass escutheons but they'll still do the job. There will be some old bloke even now scratching his head now and again wondering where he left his air pistol? Or maybe he knew but got sacked and couldn't get it back?
