JDog
On the first of June 2020 I can declare my love for the Queen of Sweden, along with R. Iceberg, R. Shropshire Lad, R. Brother Cadfael and Lonicera Graham Thomas.
TIGHTCHOKE
All very nice. I have to say most gardens in this country will have benefitted from more attention since the lockdown kept a lot of people at home, certainly mine has.
Bigbob
I can see a big difference in mine with the heat in the last two weeks but as usual weather wise we are two weeks behind the south

lakeside1000
I swapped all my hanging basket planting from petunia's to begonias this year but am having problems getting the begonia's to start, some are up with good leaf structure but many showed small leaves then died back, As a result I had to fall back on some petunia seedlings I had started 'just in case'. the rest of the planting is doing great, beans and peas are over two feet and going like crazy, carrots & beetroot doing well, tomatoes and courgettes in flower already, just waiting for my outdoor cucumbers to get going, they seem to have rooted ok but still very small, I am even trying some new things this year with tobacco , tree kale, strawberries, peppers etc along with a few sunflowers , big disappointment with plums and apples, masses of blossom but very little fruit has set , the grapevine has lots of 'flower' on but I have not had a bunch of grapes off it yet and its over 7 years old, they form tiny grapes but never swell into propper fruit, its much too frustrating for me, I think I will hire a gardener next year, 🥵
