Robertt
Went to a socially distanced garden party today. Talking about classic album tracks to a girl alot younger than me who was a a Genesis fan but never heard of Suppers Ready. I heard it live in the 70's and with all the atmospherics I was reduced to tears. Anyway it was played on the Alexis thing and having heard it she was definitely moved but not as much as me who was back in the 70's, tears and all. JTaylor91
I was born in 1991 and have no idea what “suppers ready” is although I have heard of Genesis. I’ve found it on Spotify, 23 minutes long! I will have a listen.

Robertt
Use headphones. 👌 The original off Foxtrot, the live version and the Seconds out version are all well well worth a listen. Track that hits your soul deep. Fantastic bass/bass pedel playing. Edited June 7, 2020 by Robertt
TIGHTCHOKE
Find the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway and give that album a listening to.

Robertt
Went downhill when Steve Hackett left. ' Inside and out' was his swansong before he got thrown out for being too creative.
TIGHTCHOKE
I have thoroughly enjoyed Genesis across the years from Trespass onwards.
Robertt
Just home now and listened to Suppers Ready and cried with emotion again. The 17 bottles of Wainwrights are enhancing my feelings.
MrPhantom
I never really ‘got’ Genesis but love Peter Gabriel’s subsequent solo albums. I should make more of an effort to listen to the early stuff. Was Suppers Ready when Gabriel dressed as a flower onstage?!
