It is highly unlikely that rape of either the spring or winter variety will be sown in June.

It won't be OSR, it'll be fodder rape.

Ok, thanks, I had a text saying OSR.

Hopefully whatever is sewn will provide me with crop protection  opportunities.

So what can I reasonably expect from it and when?

If it is fodder rape it might be the only green crop in the area in a couple of months time.

See the post from Lloydi two days ago.

Shot some big bags on spring rape, usually around May, as been said it does seem a little late for spring rape but it may produce some shooting, the only thing at this time of year the pigeons will be looking for milky barley, but you never know with pigeons, just keep an eye on it.

Hopefully some good sport then as it's at the side of several barley fields (all on same perm)
