Went to the shops today for no other reason other than the wife needed to pick up a package from M&S. Still a number of shops not open. Those that were open were fairly quiet. The only queue was for Sports Direct.

That would presumably be the same people that couldn't wait for KFC and McDonald's to open!

Went to our local Garden Nursery this morning to buy the plants to set up our garden for the summer. Quite a few folks there. We took a barrow/flatbed and walked through picking up what we needed and then to the check out.  We passed a dozen couples and they where simply .....using and old North Warwickshire term   ....gauping .... we were in and out of that place in ten minutes with a barrow load of plants, just what we needed.   I hope for the sake of these shops that have opened they don't get many of the so called shoppers we saw today.

By the length of the queue nobody was working for the NHS today!

I doubt many of the nhs have been sitting around much, unlike plenty who are on something like week 13 of being paid to stay at home, or perhaps go shopping.

Did anyone see the scrum to get into Nike in London yesterday on the 6pm news yesterday … given the preceding headlines, the irony was something else.

I described it in work this morning as a scum, that shop should have refused to open. Simple.

At least other places showed cues outside the shops.

The clip I saw showed a girl outside trying to make people move back, no chance .
