theoben service

hi haven't done much lately but have just been asked to sort out some rabbits.trouble is my mk2 theoben rapid hasn't been used for about 3 years.where is the best place to get it serviced.i'm in cambs

Not sure down there, but if it holds air you should be fine.

Have a look on the rapid owners website or Facebook page. A few on there are very good at servicing and tuning them.

Bet Taylor was one of the original designers and owners of rapid.

If you weren't so far away I'd have done it for you gladly,  as you can tell by my username there a bit of a passion of mine and I always service my own, hope you get it sorted but don't pay over the odds as rapids are not difficult to service, atb Ian.

Ben Taylor retired some years ago.

 

Best chap is KevG on Airgun BBS he runs the rapid7owners forum too I think.

ok so how would i send it.i bought it from theoben originally 4 miles up the road in somersham so getting it sorted was a 5 minute ride there.

i hope so ant.mass.because it had to go straight back as it lost air like a sieve when i collected it from theoben. i'm still unsure how to send it though

Kev is very good ,I hear good things about bucketboy as well he is Peterborough / cambs way

I can Confirm Pete or Bucketboy is at least equal to Kev g and is a decent bloke to Boot,  i was there on Sunday dropping off my Vendetta blocks for him to work his Magic on.

If you go on the rapid7ownersclub.co.uk forum Join up with an intro and ask bucketboy, he'll sort you out.

The R7 is quite easy to service yourself, it a simple matter of replacing the O rings, these can be bought from most suppliers. The only ones that wont be are the white seals. 

I could never see how they charged the price they did for a few O rings.
