It Must be fixed to the stock Fixing to the bottle maybe ok .it may not . As far as a breaking in period . It depends on the individual gun . Some will shoot spot on after only 5 pellets .some take maybe 50 or so . Muzzle energies can fluctuate while this goes on .and that can take a tin or do to settle down. Thanks for your reply mate Iv got a bipod coming to fit on the rail but this one has got me going for now. I'll take that into account though. In my experience the gun should shoot dob on from the start BUT you must have a pellet it likes which may take a bit of experimenting. I have owned a HW100 a AA400 an AA S410 a 510 and now a Daystate and they have all shot well out of the box.. Be tempted to use a bag under the bottle/fore end but certainly not a barrel mounted bipod. Posted as several others were making the same point. Walker570 Posted June 20, 2020 Report Share Posted June 20, 2020 A bag or something soft to rest the forend on is the way to set your zero even with an air rifle. Bypod is fine once you have it set but I would go with a soft bag or similar initially. Never rest the barrel or even the rifle anywhere on a hard surface and expect it to shoot well. It will jump. I dont even know why barrel fitted bipods are sold .they dont work ever . You might as well gaffertape a load of house bricks to your barrel. I shoot after and my god i was well out! Just fitted a bipod to the rail and its more consistently accurate just some fine tuning. But what a difference...
