Gun not cocking

Hi lads just put a new spring and seals in my Heanel 303 break barrel it cocks when not in the stock but if I put it back in stock it will not cock I have taken safety out of it in case it was that and took trigger adjustment out but still want cock any i dears.

I was going to say spring to long but if it cocks when out of the stock it cant be that, don’t know why it would change but when the barrel is in the fully broke/cocked position is the cocking lever/arm hitting the stock?

I have not checked that but why would it if it was working before I think this going to be one of them head scratchers

One thing you could try, when the gun is in the stock try winding the two side screws out a couple of turns, also, if there is a screw near the trigger guard try undoing that a couple of turns.

There's a bolt in the front of the trigger guard that screws up into the action - there should be a spacer between the inside of the stock and the action body - the front bolt goes through it - check that it's still there and hasn't fallen out. Have a look on Chambers Airgun spares site for the schematic drawing of the 303.

Hi Bruno just looked a chambers you are right must of missed it when taking apart I will try packing out with a washer.
