Depends on size, best just try it and weigh it off. or count the pellets if you know the size calculate it from there. The shot size info top of page will give you an idea of shot pellet weight so you should be able to work it out easy enough.
Guest cookoff013
From a 1,1/4oz lead bar i get 25g steel shot Factor 1.44. 28gram lead /1.44 is 19.4 grams of steel shot from 1oz lead bar.
matone
Thanks for that ! I`d thought about 3/4oz from a 1oz lead bush but its obviously a little less! largest bush I have is 11/8oz lead ,so that might be worth an experiment at some point!! You wont get 3/4 oz of BB+ steel shot through a 1 oz lead bushing no matter how many times you try.
matone
Personally I`d be looking at #5 or 6.
Dave at kelton
It’s worth buying or borrowing some digital scales and they are not expensive. Steel is very unforgiving so not worth the risk.
Guest cookoff013
Head shops sell scales. They are good enough.

matone
Thanks for all the views, not going to be loading steel atm ,just mulling the options for the future over really! Hopefully the big loaders come up with some useable light steel loads if we have this nonsense forced upon us at some point. Thanks again.
