cragman
I spend six or seven weeks during spring and early summer watching cuckoos on the local moor. I’ve always had a fascination with them. This year was identical to the previous years...and another nest predated by the regular female bird into a meadow pipits nest. The resultant chick should be gone by now, this photo is from last Thursday. I followed it from the day it was laid on 10th June 👍🏻🤞🏻

Mr gen
Cuckoo's really are a piece of work aren't they. all that extra work the poor little Pipits had to do, to raise that lump of a thing.
Old farrier
You have to admire them a bit flying here from Africa laying there eggs in a pippit nest and the young when fledged flying back to Africa for the winter how they work out where to go and how to get there is a mystery to me good picture thanks for ***😊👍👍
