As you can see I'm no master baker but I do enjoy making birthday cakes for the family each year.

My lad will be 8 tomorrow and this year as per his request is a chocolate war cake with lots of mud andΒ  the English taking a German machine gun πŸ˜‚

Not wanting to 'willy wave' but I'm not actually a bad cook, when I split up with my ex about 7 years ago it was either super noodles and frozen pizza or learn to cook.Β 

I really do enjoy being in the kitchen although the passion has waned a bit in the last year. Can't go wrong with a birthday cake though.
