Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me!

Finally scratched the subsonic centrefire itch with the availability of Hornady Sub-X rounds (I don't reload). Went for 300BLK. I was considering 45/70, but had my reasons for going down this route. Will be used as a sub-50 metre bush rifle, mainly for goats. The setup also ticks a couple of other boxes. Takedown rifle and short overall gun length. If it doesn't work out, I'll switch to supersonic rounds.

- Bergara BA13 300BLK 16.5 inch barrel
- Leupold VX-3i 1.5-5x20mm
- DPT Mini Over barrel .30cal

My first experience of subsonic centrefire. Louder than expected (!), but couldn't be heard from a 15 minute walk away. Rounds seemed quite dirty and smokey. Bipod was used just for zeroing. Typical group, squares are one inch in size. Could probably do better if I tried harder. Less than an inch difference in point of impact at 10, 25 and 50 metres, so good to go!
