He had a Belgium 410 for Christmas and was only allowed to carry it around the shoot on shoot days in January.
He’s had a couple of lessons on clays but itching to get out on the real stuff.

We went out last week and on his 19th shot he bagged his first pigeon (in flight too!)

He was that chuffed we had to go out again.. I wasn’t complaining 😂

But this time he managed 2 for 10 shots, I keep telling him that it doesn’t matter how many cartridges he shoots - the more he shoots the more confident he will get 👍🏻

That first photo will be remembered and treasured. The second photo shows his enthusiasm and determination in what looks like pretty wet conditions.

Well done and as said, he will be rightly hooked for life.

Thanks for sharing.

Little chap hooked for life!

Andy, if I might make a suggestion. I shoot a 65mm .410 quite a bit and I find with just 14 grams of shot that No.5 pattern fails about 20 yards. I never buy larger than 7’s for .410, even 9’s are effective. The Eley trap 7 1/2’s are very good.
