Wife had me stop in the store to get milk and printer ink at the local Walmart.   Went through the gun aisle and BAM!   Lady was stocking the shelves. Perfect timing.  They where only about a $1USD more a box then precovid.

You get an allowance. I use the debit card as she checks the credit rarely notices as long as don't over do it. 👍

😂 the wife doesn’t get to angry.    But we have had empty ammo shelves for a month or two now.  So it’s a buy it when you can deal.  I can get it at few LGS but I’d pay $40 a box where I got this for $16.98 which is only $1 more then pre COVID price.

not that type of allowance mellors, the type that says how much ammo i am allowed on my cert. i try and buy everything with cash so the better half cant trace anything.

I daresay our holding limit/allowance is a puzzling concept to our transatlantic friend too, another bewildering example of UK licence rules 🤪

$17 in sterling is £13.30 roughly. A cheap box of 50 LR here is usually £4-4.50. Though I've seen bulk packs of 500 for about £37. 

13.30÷5.5=2.41. Your paying £2.41 per 100. My yard wouldn't have grass, it would be rimfire brass 😅

Yea,  it’s cheap fun over here.  That shipping across the Atlantic gets you.

Yeah that gets me.  Could you not pretend to shoot your limit and buy more.  Pretend again and buy more?  Do they expect criminals to be honest about how many rounds you have?

Yeah that gets me.  Could you not pretend to shoot your limit and buy more.  Pretend again and buy more?  Do they expect criminals to be honest about how many rounds you have?  

You can do but if your caught and have a random inspection you’ll loose the lot. 
I recently had a knock at the door , 5 officers / 2 armed over false accusations but I’m glad I was all legal as I’m getting them back now . Soon I hope

I was talking too my cousin a while back, he was telling me he's old man, (passed over a decade ago now) had been hoarding .22 rounds.

He'd been buying and hiding them as he didn't want to loose he's ticket. My cousin said when he handed the rifle and ammunition in the feo couldn't quite believe how many rounds he had tucked away.
