steve_b_wales
Contact Bagnall & Kirkwood and see what they can offer. Also, try Mc Avoys as well. I've got a Howa 1500 varmint in .204 Ruger and one in a .308 too. Excellent rifles. I did change the trigger in the .308 and fitted a Timney one. Newbie to this
I ordered mine from my local RFD, John Forsey Guns, they were as competitively priced as any online prices, and no RFD transfer/Travel costs. I'd pop in to your local RFD after getting an idea of a good price point, and see what they can do.

Hi the problem I.ve got in my area is the lack of gun shops everything is outside the borough so I can't travel technically so lets just say the police etc are policing this latest lockdown rather strictly so I'm stuffed at the moment
Newbie to this
Nothing stopping you ringing the RFD you usually use.
Mr.C
Forrest Guns had quite a nice Howa 1500 in 223 when I was looking a couple of weeks ago.

That's the problem with this lockdown now in Wales we can't travel out of our respective borough's now to look at anything the powers that be are policing it pretty hard at the moment not many rfds in Caerphilly county unfortunately 😤😤😤
Mr.C
Out of your county? Didn't realise it was that draconian. In fact I had no idea you were restricted. You're going to have many hours of research.

Newbie to this
Contact Highland Outdoors, they are the importer and should be able to help. Or just have a look on their website it is probably on there somewhere. Edited October 6, 2020 by Newbie to this
hafod
It seems there's a lot of confusion over it some say its a metric thread and others say its 5/8 unc and others 5/8 unf threads so I don't know tbh lol
wabbit warren
Howa would use metric thread i would have thought 14mm x 1mm on a sporting barrel and a 18mm x 1mm on a varmit barrel
