Landies are like big Meccano sets. Anything needs replacing, ring a supplier and the part is there. Mine also had a galvanised chassis which I had fitted as did not intend letting it go anytime soon. The original chassis was still in relatively good condition. Went through MOT last week with just one advisory, solved with a 19mm socket and a slack uni joint on the rear driveshaft, cheap and simple to change without the need for a computer.. We had replaced one of the rear calipers from the RRC axle originating from mid 1980s, so that caliper hadn't done too bad.  Love it and the rumble from the 2inch stainless exhaust(2 Cherrybombs) makes many a boy racer very envious.

I've been "hanging my nose" over one of these for a while now. I think it will have to be my next car, it's the reliability issues that put me off last time I changed cars.

It’s what worried me but I bought this off the brother in law so I know it’s been looked after and he sold me it pretty cheap. I still took out an extended warranty though.
