steve_b_wales
GoGroopie have the above laptop for sale @ £103 inc pp. Grade B refurbished, but it comes with a full 12 month warranty. The spec' is 16GB SSD and 2GB RAM, 1.4 GHZ Intel Celeron. I only want a laptop for use in work, when on nights, and holidays abroad, where size and weight is important. Is this worth spending out on, or is there something similar for not much more money? Edited November 3, 2020 by steve_b_wales
Eyefor
I would buy a used iPad for not much more money - that won't be worth £4.50 in 6 months time.
Westward
Usual question time... What do you want to do with it? iPads have their uses but they're really just overblown smartphones without a SIM card. I presume the Acer comes with Chrome OS which is Android by any other name and it's the same story in that it doesn't do anything you can't already do with an Android phone. They're all okay for basic web browsing and email etc but none of the tablets can get close to a PC for all round capability and you can get a pre owned notebook PC with Windows 7 for peanuts and easily and officially update it for free to Windows 10. Yes you can, ask me how I know... 😉

Brodie
I am replying using a Dell Chromebook with a very similar spec. I got it for about £100 as an unwanted, unused gift. I prefer a proper keyboard to use and that influenced my choice. A Chromebook relies on an internet connection as very liittle is stored on the computer itself. That is why it only needs a very basic spec - you can't make a comparison with a Windows or Apple. I have been very pleased with mine - it has worked without fault and is my go-to computer for most things. Just make sure it will do what you want. Good luck whatever you decide.
