Thermal Imager / Scope

Some 5 years ago I had a similar idea for a cheap night vision scope, it never worked very well !

With thermal its only more complicated, and more disappointing .
Theres a reason why a decent usable thermal scope costs many thousands of £s, and even then, again , disappointment awaits.

Unless you have a specific need for sub 200 yard thermal shooting, I would stick with it for spotting, and use the cheaper, better ID capable digital NV scopes out there for the actual shooting.
But.. if you must tinker...

No specific need to be honest. I also have a PARD 007 and PARD 019. It's just a 'thought' I have in my head.

I think it would be rather difficult Steve, you cant mount it at the rear, it would pick up anything else but the scope, mounting it forward of the scope will create zero shift.

To be honest, I don't think it would work.
