HP Steel proof SXS

Recommended Posts

Personally I’d just look for any sxs I liked. For peace of mind,  if you’re unsure regarding chokes, find one choked no tighter than half and you’re good to go. A good example would be a AYA 3” mag’ model.

Suggestions please

Totally agree with comments made by Scully.

I've used/use a AYA no 3 Magnum 1/4-1/2 choke and shot hundreds upon hundreds of HP Steel along with homeload Steel sizes from 5's to B's

just going off the owners manual  - IMPORTANT : STEEL SHOT AMMUNITION “high performance” can be used in your CLASSIS shotgun with CYLINDER, SHORT 2/10, MEDIUM 5/10, LONG 7/10, XTREME 9/10 choke tubes.

Both my previous Fabarms did the same, steel throughout the full range.

A used to own a fabarm classis was lovely gun 3 inch chambers and the manual said full choke was ok for steel. A only sold it as wasn’t using it a great deal at the time and needed the money for a new car
