elmar fudd
evening everyone, my first memory of my grandad shooting was flat boxes of of orange cartridges, having delved into this 25 years on they were sellier and bellot 32g 6's in packs of 10, he passed away recently, but id like to own a box or two if there are any around, only for sentimental reasons. don't know the laws around posting etc with live shells but I'm in stoke on trent and can travel so maybe could sort something out? ditchman
i used those cartridges....they were bloody awful...stuck together with wax and only 7 out of 10 fired,,,the ones that did fire produced lots of sparks lots of smoke sometimes they even put shot in them..... (they were cheap)
enfieldspares
I'll find some pictures from the web. My father had some also. But these aren't mine. I don't have any. They are from the internet. Edited November 14, 2020 by enfieldspares
Farmboy91
The Tigers were loaded with sg's as far as I know. The boxes came with a few different scenes on the back.
enfieldspares
I've uploaded some images. Yes. I think you may be correct about the buckshot/lettered shot. The paper cased 70mm 12 Bore were, I think, called "Red and Black" or maybe "Black Lord"? I used to use them, these paper 70mm, as they had 1 1/4 ounces of #7. On squirrel dreys through an open choked gun. They were just about perfect in an open choke for that. snarepeg
Shot my first left and right with those at Witton on the Humber one foggy morning. we called them lion killers, kicked like a mule but did the job. Happy days😊
moongeese
I loved these cartridges as a young wildfowler, the packs of 10 , 2.3/4" no 4's rolled turnover, killed a lot of duck for me.
London Best
I’m with Ditchie. They were the only cartridges I couldn’t hit a sitting pigeon at ten yards with.
