I have a pigskin cartridge bag & the stitching is wearing out around the buckles the strap attaches to, and where the front fastening sits. Does anyone know who I could contact to have it restitched ?  I'd try myself but I would probably botch it.

You could ask either MelB3 or saddler.

Easy job with a handawl stitcher off the bay or Amazon if the leather is sound. Use mine all the time for repairs or making dog leads.

The more you use them the better you get. Point is you have a serviceable bag again due to your own efforts and a tool you can use in the future. I have lost count of the number of dog leads I have made out of a roll of red webbing using mine. Saved me and my mates a fortune over the years! Fixed and old canvas fishing bag too!

Pleased you got a result 👍

If you wanted some more practice, you could unpick your work and replace it with a thread colour that matched the original 😗

Yes, I was hoping the polish/oil would tone it down a bit but was too eager to crack on.
