The following suggests we all have to eat a lot more UK caught fish. Extract from a Parliamentary Report published 7/9/20, "A parliamentary report published today has found that some 75 per cent of fish caught in the UK is exported, mostly to the European Union, while the majority of fish eaten in the UK is imported." Thinks that is something to do with the type of fish caught in the U.K. waters not being to the British tastes yet eaten in the EU. Caught does not necessarily mean caught by British fishing boats. I think if its was more affordable then people would eat more . I had my own small boat and fished in the North channel of the Irish sea , lot of people turn there nose up at Pollock , a very tasty fish , but up here in Scotland all the fish shops sell is Haddock , very rare to get a nice bit of Cod .
