There is possibly a very good day available for anyone up near York in Tier 3. Check out with Richard Gray Affordable Days. I had booked both days 14th and 23rd January.

I shot there a few weeks ago and we had a cracking day.  I cannot attend as I am in T4 so there will be one or two guns available.  Martin there made us very welcome and we saw a lot of birds.   Stillingfleet.      I am seriously peed off because I cannot attend.

My day at grimsthorpe on the 7th has been cancelled due to them going in to tier 4. Richard sent an email out asking for people to not request refunds for deposits. I’ve emailed him to see if a day can be arranged somewhere in tier 3 as I’m still in tier 3. Rather get a days shooting in than get my deposit back, hopefully hear back from him.

Why would he ask for requests for refunds or deposits not to be sent?

If you have paid money out for a shoot that is not going ahead you will be entitled to get your money back.

Because apparently if everybody requested a refund it would put his business at risk. He’s asked people to wait until the 15th on a decision on the tiers for days to be rearranged. I’ve asked if a day can be arranged in a tier 3 area, if not I will be requesting the deposit back.
