Gordon R
When Gerry was in his heyday, I always thoughts his voice wasn't very powerful. Having seen him live, over a number of years, I have to say i was wrong. A great live act and thoroughly decent person. A very good friend used to deliver bread to his mother's shop in Liverpool and met him many times. Said he was a class act.
figgy
Parents used to frequent a restraunt and bar in Mijas area Spain where Gerry used to sing and entertain the patrons. Parents said he was nice to talk to and enjoyed his singing. Rip Gerry.

marsh man
Up until a few years ago Gerry and the pacemakers used to come to Yarmouth with a few other 60s groups to entertain the public during a 60s night concert , these were always very popular and Gerry and the pacemakers were always friendly and would yarn to the locals when they had a drink after there act , weather they could understand each other, that didn't really mater as long as they were enjoying each others company , well thought of down this way . Westley
He also did some game shooting, but I believe it was his son who was the 'enthusiast' really. I picked up behind them several times, a nice guy.

Vince Green
He was Brian Epstein's preferred singer/ group over the Beatles in the early days. He had the sense to get out when the going was still good and he was on a high Settled down on the Wirral, kept his family close and had a good life if marred by heart problems in recent years

Gordon R
Quote He wouldn't have needed to cross the Dee - only the Mersey - to get to NWSS!! That would depend on his route. 🙂 He would not need to have crossed either.
