TFL are working with Eurostar to try and get financial help as it will go bust by April A lot of top business men says we taxpayer should bail it out.,It is majority owned by France where is their input?

It stands to reason without so many people going to the troughs in Brussels from UK the future of Eurostar was always going to be in the balance. If it is French owned it’s their problem.

Absolutely not. I can't help but  feel we might need it to invade somewhere at some point.

those were the days eh when we English could pillage and plunder the rest of the planet.    we can’t even stop the scrotes from coming over the channel on rubber ducks now

Why the animosity regarding the tunnel and Eurostar (they are actually two separate companies)? I don’t agree with Eurostar being bailed out by the UK taxpayer but it would be a shame to see them fold as it is a convenient service.

Why should the taxpayer bail out the likes of this, we bailed the bank's out.

Has any of that money been repaid in full.

It should never be a bail out buy a buy out when it does collapse, let's start making money as country.

As for the tunnel let our special services play around in them, good training and would keep any unwelcome visitors from using it.

Same in the channel, keep going up and down the middle, any small crafts can be repelled back to whence they came. There is no more room at the inn.

In fact, yes - the bail out of Lloyds (including Halifax and Bank of Scotland) has been repaid and with profit https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-39671843

It seems unlikely that the money for the RBS (which includes Nat West) will be recovered
