Tow hitch height - adjustable or fixed?

My tow hitch is about 2" / 50mm low for my (twin axle) trailer coupling and was considering putting a fixed height adjuster plate in place to correct that - but, as I tow various other trailers, I thought I'd look at the adjuster tow hitch fixings but they all seem over engineered, expensive and ugly?

Would anyone know of a simpler adjustable tow hitch please - or do I stick with the fixed plate?

Well I have one on the back of my defender towing trailer cars even vans in the recent snow not a problem I don’t think it looks to bad weather d in and it does the job perfect

My Forester is black so the gold ones will look really naff - but there's a (currently out of stock) black one on Fleabay that isn't too expensive at £42.00 so I might wait for that if no other solution is found.

Good grief man, buy one and get it to me. We can paint it any colour you want!

Surely if it works the colour is of little concern?

Remove the pins and take it off when not in use. Not so ugly and traveller proof.

That is a smart idea. Thanks.

Thanks TC.

I might take you up on that.
